This is awesome: wrap @cloudflare around your site & they can now automatically hit @haveibeenpwned's Pwned Passwords during a login attempt, check it against our DB (among others) and pass a request header to the origin if the password has been breached

LinkedIn is now using everyone's content to train their AI tool -- they just auto opted everyone in. I recommend opting out now (AND that orgs put an end to auto opt-in, it's not cool) Opt out steps: Settings and Privacy > Data Privacy > Data for Generative AI Improvement (OFF)

https://t.co/i3oC4ZoIYN has partnered with HopeAI to introduce "AI Copilot," a chatbot that allows users to learn more about regimens and supporting data. We have started with a pilot on the Relapsed/Refractory Multiple Myeloma page https://t.co/7xyrMaSzE7

Was tidying up and found what I felt was a surprising choice for what was likely a disposable, one time (at most) advertisement to most people.

It's time to talk about chronic complications of sickle cell disease (SCD)! In this week's ep., we discuss screening and mgmt guidelines for issues that most of us never see unless we care for patients with SCD in the outpatient setting. So imp. to remember! Link in bio!

1/The global IT outage caused by a failed Crowdstrike software update can apparently be fixed by booting Windows into Safe Mode and deleting a file. This means millions of Windows machines need to be booted and fixed by hand.

This AT&T breach will massively disrupt everyday folks, celebrities, politicians, activists… The breach includes numbers called/texted & amount of call/text interactions, call length, & some people had cell site id numbers leaked (which leaks the approximate location of user).

Breaking: hackers stole call and text records for "nearly all" AT&T customers. Shows which phone numbers a customer called or texted. A staggering and unprecedented data breach. Data usually only available to authorities; now hackers got it

Spoofing (changing caller ID) takes less than a minute and can be done using apps available on the App Store. Here we see Mark Cuban talking about getting tricked through a phone scam where the attacker spoofed a Google number (Google assistant) and took over his Gmail account🧵

The DoJ just busted a massive scam involving North Korean IT workers infiltrating major US companies. They had some help in the US and were posing as remote freelancers to siphon off money and sensitive info. Holy crap, here's what we know:

I guess it's better than nothing, but how much do these obvious internal tests help prevent actual phishing? Doesn't feel like I'm learning anything from these.
