Yesterday, a young Muslim woman in Ottawa suffered an unprovoked assault on public transit, including with reprehensible Islamophobic threats and slurs.    Hate and violence have no place in our city, or our country. The perpetrator must be held accountable, and my thoughts today

Moses Turahirwa was given everything in this country. Now I understand how neighbors killed families that used to give them milk. There is nothing more painful than being loved by those you hate. What a waste...

Let us work to eliminate stigma and discrimination. The stories by mothers of autistic children were exactly those of mothers of intersex children! Children being discriminated based on something that is not their fault. Their message was clear - we are different, but it is okay!

Today, as we observe #WorldAidsDay2024 we reaffirm our commitment to a future free of HIV grounded in the principles of human rights, dignity, and rights. We are also reminded the fight against HIV is not just medical one - it is a fight for justice, inclusion and human rights.

I never knew how people who represent @ug_lawsociety on different bodies are elected. The radical new bar has enabled us to see democracy at work. We are now voting for our representatives. Executive orders are reserved for those who entrenched themselves using rule by law.

We need to provide mental health support without framing drug use as a disorder. People use drugs for many reasons, including pleasure and coping. Let's embrace this complexity and advocate for evidence-based discussions about drug use and mental health. #WorldMentalHealthDay
