So to report on @LeTour stage 14, downhill, Col de Joux Plane. Here is a video I made today. The latest version of the road. @amaurysport did exactly what they said in our meeting before the Tour. I had riders ask me from their experience of bad…

@HansenAdam @LeTour @amaurysport Great job mate. Do you think there is room for a sprint analysis section? What is deemed dangerous as a finish and also the line a rider takes ?

@BHGreenberg @LeTour @amaurysport Yes... but, the guys racing, will come in small groups or single file. It's not a sprint finish at the bottom of 40 guys. There are going to be very small groups racing for the win or GC. The big groups will be so far back, they won't be racing. So, they should go at a much…

@HansenAdam @LeTour @amaurysport Will these plastic barriers standing alone and not being connected, be capable of holding a crashing rider?

@HansenAdam @LeTour @amaurysport If the protection is not there until race day, isn't that you just showing off you can still pass all the amateur riders so fast?🤣 Now all DS in the team meeting: Make sure you catch a green light at the bottom of the descent!😋

@sportsanalystbe @LeTour @amaurysport No, riders said they remember this climb had bad surface. Wasn't safe. ASO ensured me there was new tarmac. I said I would go out and be sure. I filmed it so the riders can see the exact decent from a riders points of view. They can look if they want and see the new tarmac as…

@HansenAdam @LeTour @amaurysport Road still looks pretty shitty at altitude - lots of cracks from subsidence.

@skicoach @LeTour @amaurysport I saw that in the video afterwards. But you can roll over them without feeling it. I had rain in the morning and it's the water in those cracks that make it stand out.

@HansenAdam @LeTour @amaurysport Times were taken at the top for L’Étape at the weekend and I could see why. For amateurs, where the road narrows and people taking greater risks with potentially less experienced cyclists it could’ve been dangerous, but I saw no surface or reason why the pros shouldn’t do it

@HansenAdam @LeTour @amaurysport Good work. This looks like it was a little too close for comfort though.

@HansenAdam @LeTour @amaurysport Riders through the years mainly on Steel bikes then alloy/Carbon managed this downhill on RIM brakes in all weathers and if you look back at old footage the surfaces were just as good as todays. 🤫

@HansenAdam @LeTour @amaurysport My brother has a dream, which he is working towards, of becoming professionel eventually. Thank you for making me believe it will be a safer sport for him if he makes it.
