@AGEScapes Pleasure, hope it helps someone, somewhere realise that both learning CPR, and encouraging family members and friends in their autumn/winter of their lives to ensure the protection of a DNACPR is in place, are both good things.

This is an important distinction to make. When my Mum was ill, the DNACPR initially shocked & upset me, but it was something that I grew to understand.
What happened to #Eriksen is EXACTLY what CPR was invented for⦠a heart stopping suddenly in an otherwise healthy body. Whereas if someoneās heart stops because other parts of the body are malfunctioning , thatās ordinary dying. And CPR is not a treatment for ordinary dying.
