I always thought for a game based around accepting the truth persona 4 was awfully light πŸ’€

Both Yukiko and Dojima at separate points were supposed to be the killer in Persona 4, but it was scrapped because the developers thought the game would get too dark.

Think p4 would've benefitted heavily from being more dark because when the whole theme is about accepting the truth and insane illogical shit like nanako coming back to life happens it falls flat imo

@H1DE_R The way they advertised that game was so garbage only for us to get a slice of life anime essentially. I love p4 but holy shit

@H1DE_R Atlus β€œdon’t worry guys the truth is that the killer is the guy we all are kinda ambivalent and lukewarm to, your thoughts and morals don’t need to be questioned he’s like a tertiary character at best”

@H1DE_R I didn't mind that it wasn't as dark as it was just obscured. The idea it presents as truth is mostly just ofuscated by bias and circumstance, and taken that way because it's easier than actually working to push away the fog. I think things fit well the way they are.

@H1DE_R Reaching out to the Truth is more about not letting others perceptions of you fog over your identity seeing each persons indivdual truth about themselves instead of forcing your own on others accepting the truth of reality etc is much more persona 3's thing (mostly with death)
