looking battered and being wheeled out whilst Cactus who lost and had a face full of tacks looked “fine”. Cactus getting the last laugh with the final beat down was good too.

meanwhile HHH was bleeding all over that same announce table. The first pedigree not getting it done and HHH needing to do a 2nd pedigree on to the thumb stacks was sick. Cactus had thumbtacks in his face at the end which was gruesome. I really liked the post match of HHH ⤵️.

In contrast Cactus Jack looked comfortable and sadistic with the pain he was causing. HHH got a nasty gash in his left calf early but had an amazing performance in this. Cactus took a disgusting back bump on the announce table that broke really awkwardly and looked nasty, ⤵️.

Brutal hardcore match for the WWF title. The story leading into this was great (especially the Cactus Jack reveal promo) and the match delivered on that story. Jack took HHH to levels of violence he hadn’t experienced before and HHH looked out of his comfort zone throughout. ⤵️.

This sentiment was furthered when Io used Kairi’s elbow drop to great effect for a nearfall. Kairi does a sick flying strike dive in the crowd, Io takes a NASTY bump off the top rope before a Kairi elbow. Very good drama and kickouts before Io eventually gets the win after a ⤵️.

So so good man. Kairi’s selling of disbelief at Io not going down was great throughout. Io hit a QUADRUPLE rolling German spot. Kairi going for Io’s moonsault only to slip up and get caught was a nice little detail and played into the story of Io just being that bit better. ⤵️.

moves of both her friends that Meiko beat (Mayu’s dragon suplex and Kairi’s elbow drop) before hitting her own finisher to get the win. Amazing finish and match.

kicks I’ve ever seen throughout this match. Meiko is the unstoppable woman who previously beat Io’s 2 close friends and Io has to throw everything at Meiko and endure brutal strikes to get the win. The closing sequence is full of drama and reversals before Io finally hits the ⤵️.

Brutal, hard hitting, insane bumps. This is my favourite kind of wrestling. The moonsault off the entrance way thing to the stairs was terrifying and so was the bump Io took to the outside when Meiko caught her going for the springboard drop kick. Meiko with some of the hardest⤵️.

Tanahashi accidentally (I think?) hit one low but it made it look like he targeted the injured knee and then he flies up for another one which Taichi kicks out of before finally going down to one last one. The top rope spot where Tana reversed it into a cross body made me FEEL.

Old man graps and demon limb work my beloved😭😭❤️❤️❤️ Tanahashi was just DESTROYING Taichi’s knee in order to get the important 2 points in his last ever G1. Taichi I will never forget this selling performance big bro, the final few High Fly Flows were so messy and beautiful. ⤵️.
