A tiny CME has grazed our upstream solar wind satellites. Bt is now at 8 nT with Bz around -4 nT. Wind speed and density remain unchanged. Aside for high-latitude chasers, this won't do anything to the aurora at its present strength. I am pretty certain this is not the M8.1 CME.

AR4299 produced an M2.0 flare accompanied by dimming, followed by an M1.2 flare occurred in AR4294 with a coronal wave propagating southward. Both events likely produced CMEs.

Today's X1.1 flare was eruptive, but the associated coronal disturbances were limited mostly to the area around the west limb. There may not be clear effects on Earth. However, the eruption was associated with an electron event typical to this kind of events with a non-halo CME.

Two more CMEs are now Earth-bound. M2.4 CME: Direct impact expected on Dec 10th, around 13:00–14:00 UTC (±7 hrs). X1.1 CME: Glancing impact expected on Dec 11th, around 10:00 UTC (±7 hrs).
