@DavideMoraesuk I don’t think they bought it. The global distribution rights belong to Aniplex (Sony Japan), they’re likely partnering with a Chinese distributor retaining 25% net from the box office in China.

@movielover1010 Tbh projections without sales are just speculative exercise. For example, we expect 1 billion for Zootopia and 2 billion for Avatar at the global box office. But this doesn’t mean much since there’s no pre-sales yet

@GlobalBoxOff That is awesome and I honestly hope it does release in China because just imagine if this movie surpassed 1 billion dollars if it did it would not only surpass lion king 1994 as the highest grossing 2D animated movie but it would be the first 2D animated movie to do so.😀
