It's fascinating that the search engine market has always been ~100% ad-supported. The AI market is the exact opposite. So far, the dominant model is paid subscriptions.

Put another way: sometimes your massive "advantage" is a mirage. It *seems* like it should give you a big leg up, but terrifyingly, it is possible that you have zero advantage vs. upstarts born natively in the new tech era.
