the sheer amount of misgendering I’ve seen aimed at trans men vtubers I follow bc they have a feminine model (just bc they like it/are comfortable) and they’re immediately she/her’d like can you please just check the pronouns first
The fun about being a vtuber is that you can use anything to represent yourself and you should never, ever use things like a model or voice to be like “well I thought it was obvious” for the love of god check the pronouns and if you don’t know, use they/them until you do
I use neopronouns and he/him in addition to she/her so yeah lol I don’t have “obvious” pronouns or an “obvious” gender despite what my design looks like
Also shoutout to my nonbinary oomfies who deal with people trying to gender them all the time no matter how their model is designed. Androgyny isn’t the ‘default’ for being nonbinary.
@RosenDaemonVT
That might be asking a lot of people that come in asking what game you're playing even though it's posted... everywhere. [Insert eye roll here]
I've watched similar things happen even when the pronouns are on screen. It's infuriating. Gender my friends correctly damnit!
@WeepingLiberty
Right?????? I have friends with pronouns on the overlay, in the stream tags, on bio, in the STREAM TITLE, and still people insist like oh my god
@Thedarkcrimson1
That’s SO frustrating, like people really look only on the surface level with voices and then decide your gender. I’ve had a few transfem friends with that problem and I feel so awful for them
@LumierreStella
Honestly I get it, but I think you shouldnt be afraid of asserting your boundaries about your identity when you stream or on here. If someone misgenders you bc they see your design and think you’re a woman without even checking, that’s their problem. I’m sorry you feel that way😭
@SulettaMercury
Oh my god I was thinking about you when I made this (in addition to other people) bc I know you love Ri so much as your OC and I don’t want you to get shitty replies bc of how feminine he looks
@RosenDaemonVT
I honestly have this happen all the time. And it's just a pain I wish I didn't have to deal with. I know my model looks kinda fem but my title has he/they on it at the end and that I'm a panda demon because people kept calling me anything else. I just wanna be stylized 😭
@RosenDaemonVT
It took a long time for me to accept I don't have to be a girl to be feminine! I try not to take it too hard when folks don't get my pronouns, unless it's a pattern of behaviour in which case I hire this cat to stare at them :)
