Do people not understand that if you immediately try to "clock" someone's gender by their voice when you go into a stream, you're being transphobic? Even comments about how someone's voice doesn't "match" their avatar are weird as hell and you should stop saying that.

Feel free to rt this btw, I feel like people have no manners when it comes to vtubers in their own streams and I get so angry every time someone ends up feeling self-conscious or dysphoric because someone couldn't keep their mouth shut

If someone doesn't say their gender through a twitch tag or their own stream but politely asks you to refer to them with a specific set of pronouns, it's not hard to just respect that. And don't be surprised if you get a ban if you question someone's gender in their chat.

@RoseHeartedVT I’ll be honest, I went full slender ikemen because I was afraid of that exact “your voice doesn’t match” comment and its kinda awful that I centered my design choices around that so much. Don’t get me wrong, I LOVE my model but I wish that lingering thought hadn’t been a factor

@VampireHusbando Yeah, I absolutely get why you'd think that especially when you've talked to me before about previous issues you've had. I'd love to hear you talk about what you would've had in mind if that wasn't your major influence for your current model!

@RoseHeartedVT This is precisely why I always try to use they/them unless they've already said their pronouns out loud.
