My hot take: NBA is basically the equivalent of CoD in eSports. Smaller super hardcore fanbase who all they do is complain about the game but continue watching. Also has bad ratings but yet somehow produces the biggest stars/personalities and most viewed online clips. Nostalgia.
JJ Redick on the 3s and NBA ratings discourse, parity, talent in the game today vs yesterday, and people paying too much attention to what is said on Twitter. It's funny that he starts his answer with "I'll try to be brief here" and then speaks for 4 minutes

My timeline has been infected with it. All common complaints of "no defense" and "too many 3's." Sucks because if you actually watched ball, you'd know that the league audibled midway last year and had the refs call the games different to enhance defense and improve game.
Don't get me wrong-- there's *SO* much the NBA could do better. But at the same time-- all the "What's wrong with the NBA" talk is also insufferable. The entire discourse is just nostalgic, opinion-based complaints & whining, with zero regard for facts/data/research whatsoever.

Being a business owner means you make income without your presence, and having others working for you. Self employed ≠ businesses owner.

I understand being against MTX altogether, and if you draw a line there I can respect it. But blatantly misrepresenting what these microtransactions are like on Dragon's Dogma 2 is just impression/rage farming imo.

This Dragon's Dogma 2 discourse actually makes me question how many games I've misjudged based on internet discourse lol. Sad, because tons of people are going to miss out on an amazing game because of straight lies popping up on the feed.
