We were very sad to recently hear about the passing of Professor Anthea Tinker CBE. In the UK and globally, she made an enormous contribution to the study of gerontology. For us, her 2015 co-authored report 'An Age-Friendly City: How far has London come?' was hugely important.

🗺️ Maps don’t just show the world. They shape it. Denis Burkitt’s famous lymphoma maps didn’t just chart disease — they built a whole field of cancer research. But behind the pins and paper lies a story of empire, infrastructure, and inequality. 🔗 https://t.co/YtBgDHDPJw
