I enjoyed starting my day meeting with business owners & community leaders in Monroe. Hearing directly from Georgians about everyday challenges & how they’re navigating an uncertain business climate is invaluable as we support & empower entrepreneurs across our state.

This morning, the Macon community gathered to launch GOALs - the Georgia Online Application Licensing System. Our new licensing system retires paper applications & slashes the time professionals wait for a license. Today was a milestone for licensed professionals in Georgia!

When the audit completes, we will publish the ballot manifests and machine-counted batch totals, and the public will be able to check that the hand counts match, and that the batch totals match the hash above.

We could post the ballot manifests & machine-counted batch totals, so that everyone can follow along &, when the hand counts come in, verify that the numbers match. But, if we did that before the audit finishes, some might question whether that gives auditors a "number to hit."

Tomorrow, Georgia counties are starting a random sample of ballot batches by hand as part of a Risk Limiting Audit (RLA) of the November 4th PSC/Municipal election. We want this audit to be as transparent as possible.
