We’re celebrating an early holiday gift! Southern white rhino, Kayla, gave birth to a female calf on Nov. 28th. Our new little girl is healthy and settling in beautifully. Kayla is doing an amazing job, and the pair is spending some time behind the scenes. More updates soon!

Hearing high pitched squeaks and chirps in Kingdoms of Asia? Perhaps some of them are coming from Songbird Aviary, but a lot of them also come from our asian small-clawed otters. This species is quite chatty; communicating vocally with a repertoire of at least 12 calls!

We’re saddened to share that beloved giraffe, Baba, has passed. At 31, she was one of the oldest reticulated giraffes in the US. After years managing arthritis, her condition worsened & we made the compassionate decision to say goodbye. Please feel welcome to share your memories.
