My wonderful postdoc mentor, Dennis Kasper, can rightly claim that he was studying the gut microbiome before it was cool. I have to settle for studying it while it is cool. Here's our concise review on the gut microbiome and cancer immunotherapy!

Excited to have been interviewed for this article on the future of fecal transplants in cancer.

Nature - Gut microbiota could be crucial to the success or failure of immunotherapy. Donated stool might give oncologists a way to tip the balance, but the real excitement lies in what comes next.

As a science nerd, my moment of glory arrived earlier this month when my paper was published @Nature. https://t.co/5DNFtgH0wx As a musical nerd, my moment of glory arrived last night, when my 7 year old asked me how many minutes were in a year. #microbiome #cancer #rent @jparksci

We identified a new mechanism by which gut bacteria impact anti-tumor immunity! This was a collaborative project and I could not have asked for a better co-first author to work and learn with. @jparksci here's to many more years of friendship and science! https://t.co/XzJuwecDNb

First presentation by Gazzaniga lab members was a success! Ashley and Rowan are two Northeastern co-op students and have only been in the lab a month. They did an impressive presentation on their first tumor and microbiome study. Excited to see what else they can do!
