Conserving and enhancing freshwater habitats for wildlife and communities within the Forth.
Joined November 2013
The rivers around the Forth face many pressures which impact salmon, eels, otters and other wildlife. Some pressures also impact communities that live along our rivers too. Find out about these pressures and how we are tackling them in our feature film https://t.co/Eo7A35WcOH

Delighted to share our latest update from the Balcaskie Wetlands project – a barrier removal! An old concrete ford was successfully removed at the end of Sept, reconnecting river habitat + opening access to habitat upstream.

There’s still time to join our Community Share events in Midlothian this week and next - FREE SOUP and community conversations with a focus on the protection and improvement of the Lothian Esk rivers. Can we prevent incidents like the one our project officer saw recently?

Massive kudos to staff from Highland Spring who came out to plant native trees on the Danny Burn, a tributary of the Allan Water, for the 3rd year in a row! 22 staff members planted over 220 new trees and also lovingly maintained over 662 trees that were planted before.
