Little #AwaabIshak needn’t have died. We have to ensure no other little angels like him die needlessly. May his soul rest in peace as he smiles down on his family ❤️

@FloellaBenjamin Everytime I see that beautiful face looking back at me my heart breaks. Poor little soul dying a Dickensian death in 2022. Absolutely Shameful..

@FloellaBenjamin This broke my heart when I saw it on the news, for goodness sake this is 2022 should not be the squalor of 1822.

@FloellaBenjamin I developed asthma at an early age as I slept in a damp musty bedroom with mould on the walls and ceiling and Jack frost on the inside of the windows. But that was 60 years ago and it should not be happening in these times!

@FloellaBenjamin Please use all your power and influence to improve the conditions for families in such appalling conditions

@FloellaBenjamin I fear he will not be the last and I don’t think it was the colour of his skin that was the only cause. His parents are poor and that combination let the Housing Association think it was alright to ignore their pleas for help.

@FloellaBenjamin It’s disgusting how social housing landlords treat tenants. Something really needs to change. May that poor baby rest in peace 💜

@FloellaBenjamin Methinks. Maybe not the evil government or the evil landlords, more about inadequate social services advising on how to live in our climate and giving support.

@FloellaBenjamin Seeing the pics of his family home. Devastating. How any housing group could have visited or seen the property and put up any barriers to rehoming is incredulous and speaks to a lack of care at the organisation.
