Noticing an unsettling trend with a good number of young men recently. Not sure what it’s going to become but could be ugly if it continues to fester. A combination of hatred for women and a fear of not being chosen that drives them to dark “Red Pill” corners of the internet.

I can’t lie I respect this I respect the fuck out of it Tears in my eyes thinking about all the ways this could go wrong, staying put at 5pm after all the violence of today, after a curfew has been imposed. But by God, I respect it

Someone needs to study and dissect how Abike Dabiri’s “legacy” that started out so brightly descended to shit, shame and shalanga

Honestly, for those in my mentions trying to justify this sort of thing, you'll be ignored and if you persist, you'll be blocked swiftly. Save your data. I don't have time, love. Namastaymad.

Midnight Crew's flawless seamless execution of a blend of Igbo and Yoruba lyrics in Igwe did more for inter-regional harmony than Azikiwe and Awolowo, in this essay I will

Finally embracing the undeniable fact that restless passionate personalities like mine are designed to do many things (read: careers) in one lifetime. And that it's often a revolving door. You'll leave, explore, come back, leave, explore another, go back to another. Rinse, repeat

I worry about countless residents at risk of cancer, diseases. My parents, both in their 60s inhaling toxins everyday. Our government is watching silently as we die. Pls watch & share this short doc film I made on the soot crisis in Port Harcourt

always so fascinated by intelligent people that have takes like this. because I feel the cognitive dissonance involved to land here is too much for that kind of mind to vet and say "okay this makes sense". but then again I'm reminded that that's not really how intelligence works.

You see why Igbo people just want to move to Sugarland, Texas and be going to Ndi Igbo Annual Convention Houston Chapter every summer and building homes in their village in December? E K Gwuru for real

As I get older + wiser, one thing that has increasingly become non-negotiable in friendship and partnership, is choosing people who can be honest without being brutal. Tact. Tactfulness is not lying. Give me the whole entire truth, just give it to me without snark or caustic.

I speak Igbo but I'm not very good at written Igbo (only decent at writing it colloquially ) and I recently lost an INTERNATIONAL job opportunity I pretty much had in the bag because of this. That Mandarin & French are important does not make ours not, let's end this narrative.

Writing and stopped to pat myself on the back for giving all the Nigerian characters Nigerian names, then I realized I named one of them Kingsley and was about to change it then remembered that Kingsley is in fact an Igbo name.

Interestingly, the JD for a number of the roles on #TwitterGhana ask for knowledge of the Nigerian market + socio-political climate Another case of a global org wanting to focus on Nigeria, without being in Nigeria (for very valid reasons) “Giant of Africa” innit lol

went to AFCTA Ghana office to report, the official chuckled, sighed & said “my dear you know your country, just set up a new entity there & facility to produce locally there like you do here” why would I run two separate facilities when we all signed free trade agreement? lol

but also, 9 times out of 10 people like that don't actually believe their own takes. political jobbers gotta job. say what you have to say to get that bread - or whatever other kind of compensation they are giving them these days to willfully turn off the cognition.
