Time to start (for the third time) my course on the software architecture. I wonder how much I remember what I put on the slides. 😅

And I really did generate an atmospheric, dark image. :D.

What made it somewhat include the context was a fixup - adding elves there. Then, it finally added something that resembles floating islands in the distance.

The only problem is that it ignored most of the "context" that I put (at the beginning) - I wanted it to depict the floating islands. I tried to put it at the end, and the results were slightly better

It generated, more or less, the thing that I wanted. Putting the story as-is was easier for me (didn't need to decide what to cut) and resulted in IMO better overall look. I worried that it will include the AoC task somehow, but it did not do it, which is great!.

Time to get back to #AdventOfCode2023 missing images. I attempted something different this time - included the story unchanged, with a direct explanation where it is put. The context was at the beginning of the #prompt, but the main instruction - at the end. #DALLE3 #GenAI

Enough catching up for today. Day 15 of #AdventOfCode done. I used the same approach to #prompting the image and I'm now pretty sure that it indeed works. It started focusing on what I really want, not some random details. Not perfect, but better.

Time to get slowly up to speed with #AdventOfCode. This time, day 13 & 14 in a single image since they share the main story. Again, I focused just on these two days, and not overwhelming #openai #dalle with context. Works better and works with follow up prompts.

Funny thing, when requesting #openai to generate image in a "random painting style", it rejects the #prompt with content policy violation warning.

It does not fully reflect the day, but it met my expectations much better :).

I am really short on time recently, but it is time to catch up with everything. Day 11 of #AdventOfCode. Changed the approach slightly - this time, the prompt is targeted, with not much context. #openai #dalle generated much better image - it seems that too much context is bad.

Nevertheless, it had some nice ideas but not really what I wanted. I will probably tweak the prompt for this idea a little bit in the coming days.

The generated images were also quite grainy. I don't know why, but all of them looked really low-res.

What is more, I explicitly told it to not generate any text, and it failed most of the time. I also couldn't make it fix things up - the text always stayed there.

I used entirely different prompt here, trying to force it into more "picture of the universe" style. I wanted it to use constellations of stars to depict each event, but I couldn't make that work at all.

Day 11 of #AdventOfGenAI. This time I wanted to try something different, following up the idea from yesterday. The story was perfect for that. So, I present you, the universe of #adventofcode and some #random #genai shit. :D

Aaand now day 10 of #adventofcode. This time, I had something more tricky for #DALLE3 - make an image of all the 10 days so far. I tried to add more constraints, but it generated rubbish. Lifting that helped, but it still isn't really #art. Will need to tweak the prompt a lot.

Little bit late, but day 9 of #adventofcode done. Since I'm a day late, let's make this a happy #genai image ;D.I didn't emphasize that this should be christmas time, so it completely ignored it. :)

Okay, day 8 of #adventofcode partly done. This time, I wanted #dalle to generate me an image that includes hints of previous days. To be hones, I'm really happy with the result - it has these Dune vibes, with a little bit of Pirates of the Caribbean :D #generatedbyAI
