@FangettaPlays Girl. I ban people just because I don't like them. It's my safe place and my community. I'm not gonna have people in who I can't stand just because they haven't broken a rule. Their personality broke my rule of whether or not I appreciate their company.

@Raejayy4721 I am the same! Not sure if I'm wrong about this or damaging my brand/community but if I don't like someone's attitude or the way they are interacting, it'll just gnaw at me.

@psylenced Technically I don't have any rules in my stream! The rule on entering chat is "don't be a stupid idiot" which is a humorous way to cover everything obvious broadly and as I see fit Didn't really want to make a massive uncomfortable list as a first impression :/

@FangettaPlays I've banned people who have never even been in my stream. I've had bad interactions with them on another channel or another platform and I'll just do it in advance. Anything to avoid drama while live.

@EolisTV My mods are really great at doing this! They are in a mod discord with a few other ANZ mods for streamers, & chat with each other about people in chat or bad experiences and ban the bad eggs in advance!

@FangettaPlays I do it. Doesn't happen often that I'll find someone who's attitude I don't like, but if my first impression of someone is inflammatory and antagonistic, even if they're not explicitly breaking rules, I'll ban them. I don't wanna let 'em fuck with the community's chi

@rudeism First impressions are so important for me, and if that person is new to the stream or isn't a regular then I feel like I'm a lot less tolerant.

@FangettaPlays Yep. If someone makes you or someone else in chat uncomfortable, ban em. If they don’t like it there’s the entirety of twitch for them to go watch

@Clockdistrict I wish it was as simple as them just going and finding a stream where they do fit in but I swear they always act like the stream they're banned in is the ONLY one on Twitch and make a massive fuss 😂

@FangettaPlays There'll always be "that one guy" who toes the damn line and annoys everyone without "technically" breaking rules. Get rid of em, they clearly aren't there for anything good and don't add anything to the community.

@CassieDakota_ I think the comments from other streamers on this tweet are super helpful for reassuring for me! I know what you mean about it being a struggle and there's definitely a mental doubt to it sometime's where it's not clear if a ban is right or wrong.

@FangettaPlays @DrHobbits It's your stream... If someone makes you or your viewers uncomfortable in any way, it's your option to ban them... You don't owe anyone a reason for your decision either. Most of the times, I don't even acknowledge a ban, it's just one minute they're there, the next they're gone.
