The atmosphere buzzed with excitement when the formalities concluded and the school principal, Ntate Mokoena, teachers & learners, the stakeholders started with the cleaning of the illegal dumping site and school soccer field, planted 21 trees, and handed over the vegetable.

Setshabelo school is a no fee-paying school with 1 325 leaners. In 32 years of the Enviro Quiz competition, Setshabelo remains the 1st township school to scoop the first price of last year's competition with 6000 learners participated.

Research tells us that the more trees we plant, the greater the opportunity to reduce carbon footprint around us. Lastly, will be the expansion of community garden and official handing over of hydroponic farming project to the school.

The 1st activity will be cleaning & grading of the school soccer--this is part of the departmental ongoing campaign which addresses littering and waste management in our communities. Followed by tree plantation (both indigenous and peach trees).
