the graymatter lane school might’ve been a result of kitty and emma’s conflicting opinions on starting a new school too. emma knew kids like thao are educated and eager enough to learn, but kitty argued their safety. them settling on an astral plane for a school is kinda neat

i feel like exc. x-men was the testing grounds for x-men united; how thao, trista, and alex got to live out their lives instead of being isolated in a mutant school, the emphasis on learning mutant history and education. ewing gives me a lot of confidence in emma’s new school
