This is a very useful way of describing degrowth. It's time to shift focus away from GDP for a more nuanced discussion of what really needs to shrink or grow.
Degrowth stands for de-colonization, de-enclosure of commons, de-commodification of public goods, de-intensification of everyday life, the de-thingification of humans and nature, and the de-escalation of ecological crisis.
