The changes include key, common-sense measures:.- Adopting harm minimisation as the paramount object in the Liquor Act.- Amending alcohol delivery times to the home to between 10am - 10pm.- Introducing a 2-hour safety pause from alcohol being ordered to delivery into the home.

The changes proposed by Free TV Australia also don't address a “sports loophole,” which permits alcohol ads during televised sporting events. The Australian Communications and Media Authority (ACMA) will soon determine whether the new draft code will get the tick of approval.
