ARE PORTRAYED AS VERY BAD AND HARMFUL THINGS, it’s called commentary! Plenty is problematic about the Dune books but oh my god

@Exile451 @PinkRangerLB Unfortunately, I know people who still don't get that, and somehow believe that Herbert was presenting House Atreides as an objective good, and, by implication, the Western colonialists they represent.

@2old4this8 @PinkRangerLB Not only worse, but slightly over 10,000 times worse if we're going by the numbers. I just love the way he keeps Duncan clones around to remind himself he's the villain XD It's like Caesar's attendant holding the crown over his head repeating "Remember you are human".
