The reality is that half-species cannot exist because the races would be cats, rats, dogs, chimps and crocodiles trying to breed.
The concept was always ridiculous and a leftover from the confused race morality of the 90s

That is the difference between different human races
You already have genetic issues when people from widely different races have kids but no-one discusses it cause Racial discussion is a social taboo.
So a human and orc would be like a human and a monkey, completely incompatible
