I want to mention that Napoléon did dislike Dumas but for political reasons. Dumas was known to be quite critical of the emperor. He could have executed him. He did not.
(And yes, he's the father of Alexandre Dumas who wrote the Three Musqueteers and the Count of Monte Cristo).

They all lived at the same time as Napoleon. Some fought with him.
