I make far more as an independent contractor than I would as an employee of any of my clients. As do many women of color like me. #PROAct destroys paths to success for women, people of color, as well as those with disabilities, caring for elders and more. #NoPROAct.
#fightforfreelancers has no problem w/employees forming a union. But #PROAct ABC Test can't tell the difference between them & an independent translator or writer earning $65k. #NoPROAct #NoABCforUSA .@kyrstensinema.@captmarkkelly.@senangusking.@Sen_JoeManchin.@SenatorWarner.

There is a simple answer for misclassification of independent contractors. Please continue to withhold support for #PROAct until it can be amended to use the existing language from the IRS Test for worker classification instead of the devastating #ABCTest. #NoPROAct. #NoABCforUSA.
If worker misclassification is wrong then lawmakers shouldn’t do it to anyone. The ABC Test in the #PROAct misclassifies legitimate independent contractors as employees in federal law #fightforfreelancers.@kyrstensinema.@captmarkkelly.@senangusking.@Sen_JoeManchin.@SenatorWarner.
