@BladeoftheS Its not even Universal Credit. Child Benefit is paid seperately. Its £10 a week for 2nd child and every subsequent child under new rules- and it includes working damiles who earn under 50k. Over half of those families lifted out of poverty are working families

@BladeoftheS The rich moan endlessly about the poor getting handouts but accumulate wealth at such a massive rate that cannot be the result of work.

@BladeoftheS @ChildOfAlba The rich won’t be happy until we are back to the dark ages with them in castles hoarding all the gold and jewels and the peasants in mud huts. It’s about greed. Always has been. If you’re not the rich why are you not angry?

The richest 150 people in the UK get £120,000,000 richer every single day, and that's not share value. That's profit stolen from you through the Banks, Energy Companies, and Supermarkets they own. But the problem is someone getting £10 on Universal Credit?

As a clinician who works with people across the world, can I be clear. We do not have a generous benefits system. We have a cruel, harsh welfare system that is not only dehumanising but often actively damaging, often pushing people into poverty. The #budget does not change that.

I’ll say this louder for the idiots at the back. Your enemy isn’t the people on universal credit, your enemy is the people who own yachts.

All the rubbish about the welfare bill being unsustainable has to stop. Not only is it sustainable, there is £19 billion unclaimed each year and with the hatred towards those on welfare that is being whipped up by politicians and the media, that amount will probably be higher now

OK. So now we're all being encouraged to hate everyone on benefits. Divide and rule, able bodied against disabled, healthy against the sick, working against the unemployed. Pitting ppl against ppl, whilst the rich get richer. Humans are so easy to control, like wind up toys

Do you ever fancy doing your actual job instead of spending all day dog-whistling people who want disabled people dead Helen?
Scrapping luxury Motability cars is a start - but time for Labour to seriously reform the scheme. @Conservatives would end free cars for tennis elbow, acne and ADHD. Motability was set up for the seriously disabled. It must get back to doing that.

So Wes Streeting wants a tax on milkshakes so the young won’t get obese but he’s quite happy for them to be experimented on for Puberty Blockers 🤔

@Helen_Whately The cars aren't free, they're paid for by Higher Rate Mobility PIP money (basically for those with chronic mob issues). If Motability stopped today, those disabled folk with those mob issues would still get Higher Rate Mob PIP. Politicians telling outright lies should be in jail.

I'd like Rachel reeves to scrap the expenses for MPs but no one will ever say this in the media

Just been on @BBCRadio2 talking about @MotabilityOps & I'm now so angry. I'm so sick of non-disabled ill informed arsehats bleating about the cost of allowing disabled people the ability to get around. I won't say what I'd like to do to them but I'm sure you can imagine.

The fact that carers were pushed into debt because they were wrongly targeted by the DWP & given thousands to repay is on the scale of the Post Office scandal. Lives were utterly ruined. Compensation should be compulsory, the DWP is incompetent, there is a human cost.

There are three things Rachel Reeves should bear in mind tomorrow: obscene wealth doesn't 'trickle down', tax cuts don't 'pay for themselves' and the private sector isn't 'more efficient'

Disabled people do not deserve choice or any form of luxury, even when it is paid for by the individual. That's the message govt is sending to people who can access the motabilty scheme. It's dystopian and discriminatory.
