More examples today of PVI early years providers being given notice by schools who are opening their own provision (& hoping to take their staff) and schools opening provision in direct competition with local providers. I didn't think this was supposed to be happening?

Play in the EY in its purest form, is about being in the moment. It’s about exploring, experimenting, and simply enjoying the process without worrying about the destination. When we focus on outcomes, we risk stripping play of its magic & another task to tick off. #PlayMatters

Playing in mud can be a beneficial activity for children. Brain development: The sensory stimulation and increased input from mud play helps form pathways in the brain. Motor skills: Children use their smaller muscles by squishing, squeezing, scooping, mixing, and pouring mud.

Pedagogy in early childhood education takes into account all aspects of a child's development, including their physical, cognitive, social, emotional, and creative development. Play is at the heart of all these developmental aspects of pedagogy. #PlayMatters
