The responses obtained by Basingstoke and Deane Borough council were better representative of the wider population, using quotas & stratified random sampling. #RepresentationMatters .(4/5)

But we have found some examples of 'good consultations'. E.g. Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council conducted a consultation in 2019 & obtained responses from over 1000 people! . #Consultation #BASINGSTOKE .(3/5).

We have searched far and wide, but a lot of the consultations we've come across are not 'good'. Many consultations have captured feedback from less than 30 people across whole boroughs or cities🤯 . This is not acceptable 😠. #Feedback #research .(2/5).

We're on the look out for examples of 'good public consultations' in England👁‍🗨. I.e. those that capture a diversity of voices and include people of all ages, backgrounds, education levels, disabilities, and ethnicities. #Diversity #consultation #DisabilityInclusion .(1/5).

These case studies will be shared on the EYPiC website and social media channels. We hope that they, along with the EYPiC resources already available, will help to highlight to others what methods could be employed to increase engagement with this population group. (3/4).

We're hoping to produce a series of case studies that highlight what has worked well and what has not worked so well when aiming to engage young people in consultations. (2/4).

The Engaging Young People in Consultation (EYPiC) team are now on the look out for organisations and local authorities that have stories to tell (good or bad) about engaging young people in consultations. (1/4).

4/4) We produced a case study infographic of the E-Drone project to highlight how they achieved high engagement. We also showed how their methods align with the EYPiC toolkit. And we provide recommendations for future research and consultations.
