#DyeHistory : The beautiful color purple, Mauveine, or simply #Mauve, was the first synthetic dye to be discovered accidentally by William Henry Perkin in 1856 while he was attempting to create a cure for #malaria! How cool is that? 😍😈

From the people who brought you #WhatsInMyClothes only stating the percentage of cotton, polyester, just doesn't cut it. It was devised to go way beyond this. To list all of the processes and their associated chemicals used to produce final garments.

Recycling and reusing synthetic dyes in a closed loop process ➰ #Circularity in textile industry is highly needed especially since the current supply chain is highly linear and decentralized. The future should be #circular #sustainablefashion #circularfashion #Circulareconomy

#whatsinmyclothes? We shouldn't only be looking at the #fibres. Our clothes contain much more chemicals, and #dyes #Dyerecycle extends the life of already existing dyes by reusing them in a #circular process. Extract from #waste reuse for new garmet. #fashionforgood

Imagine our lives without #colours? All the colours we see in textiles are based on marvelous #dyes. Up to date, these dyes are made to be used for single use. #dyerecycle breaks this rule and #recycle the dyes in waste to create more #sustainablefashion #circularfashion

Textile waste is an untapped rich resource of chemicals, particularly, dyes. From this pile of textile waste, we were able to extract beautiful colours, and re-use these colours to dye new pieces of fabrics. https://t.co/oNrVRMQPNl #sustainablefashion #slowfashion #innovation

@ToxicsFree @fastlerner Do we know what's in our plastic fibre sportswear? A list of all the chemical ingredients from the functional chemicals applied to apparel. Including dyes, antimicrobial, water & oil stain resistance. We've no idea what we're wearing. #WhatsInMyClothes
