FALSE: Tesla uses Bluetooth to unlock with phone. No internet required. Also key fob or key card will get you in. If you loose your keys or phone, your partner / friend with access can unlock and start your car remotely. That requires internet.

My neighborhood is full of Teslas but a few who are on Rogers seemed to have trouble. For example, a couple of my neighbors couldnβt get into their vehicles and Iβm hearing of more. Perhaps it caused a glitch for some users?

Makes me chuckle when people speak of cashless societies. You can be locked out of your car, you can be locked out of your bank account and eventually; the automatic locks of your home. Analog baby!!!
@DutchHockeyMom
Nice try, but that is not how Teslaβs work, itβs Bluetooth or the keycard, cellular down will not keep you from getting into the vehicle

I know it baffles me too. A couple of my neighbors had issues and Iβm hearing of more people now. Perhaps it caused a glitch for some users?

OK I'll bite...why can't they get into their vehicle today?

Rogers was/is down nationwide. Debit, internet, cell service down for millions. Some Tesla owners, like my neighbors, werenβt able to use their phone to get into their vehicle.
