While yes it's your money spent, but it's still a product of someone else. They likely will never know what you do with it and that's fine. The creator shouldn't be concerned about it, but courtesy doesn't come at a cost. That's someone's creation, it should have some respect.

If you purchase a avatar base, you are free to do whatever you want with it, however it's not hard to adhear to the creator's wishes. People that defy the tos shouldn't reflect the creator as it was by choice of the buyer. But just try to be considerate, please.
