@DrSarahJarvis Can I ask Sarah, why in circumstances where people die from other illness is COVID put on the death certificate when they test negative? And, surely the rise in cases is linked to the amount of testing being carried out now 🤷🏻‍♂️

@jonkay19 Tests up by 4% in last week, cases up by 55%. Rise in hospital admissions (20,917 currently in hospital with #COVID19 , 2,500 in September) & deaths which follow rise in cases is clear proof that the rise is real

@DrSarahJarvis Protect the NHS? I thought it was about making sure vulnerable people don't get ill and potentially die. Sounds like patients are low on the priority list. I find it odd you don't acknowledge the mental health impacts.

@bydgoszczanka Protecting the NHS IS protecting the vulnerable. The NHS is the sum of the care it provides, not just for people with #COVID19 but all other conditions that haven't gone away. If you think I don't care about mental health impacts you've never heard me speak.

@DrSarahJarvis We? Lockdowns didn't work, tiers didn't work back into lockdown, lockdown didn't work back to tiers, a higher tier is required, now tiers was working but an extra tier is needed for the new mutation which isn't new it's been about since April in Brazil July in usa/Australia

@DrSarahJarvis A lockdown can only work if we do actually lock down. Close everything fully including the borders for 4 weeks. It will work without human interaction

@DrSarahJarvis When a person says 'we have no choice', be very wary. T4 was only recently invented but remarkably it has now become the only option.

@DrSarahJarvis We must never be this unprepared ever again. As much as we’re grateful for the work of the NHS since March it isn’t our job to protect the NHS, it’s theirs to protect us and 11 years of Tory austerity and abysmal planning has rendered that undeliverable.

@DrSarahJarvis We are in isolation with Covid. The information has been so hit and miss! We are very confused! My wife caught the virus in work. She is a nurse/carer. She has been/still is very ill. We have so many questions but can’t get answers! It needs fixing.

@DrSarahJarvis Do you mean +ve PCR tests? Completely different thing to cases. Where's the 20% more deaths come from? Could it be 20% increase of deaths with CV mentioned on the DC?

@DrSarahJarvis And when we say protect the NHS we mean making sure that there is a bed with staff if you or your loved ones need it!
