Been on the register for years.... I probably should have taken better care of all my recyclable bits.... anyone is welcome to them when I'm not using them anymore ๐

People can only benefit from this, as a recipient of a donated organ I know just what this will mean to so many.
Great news for all....

Would you know what the situation is for donations from those with ME please ? Are they deemed as ok, or is it up to individuals to come off the register to save any potential issues ? Thanks.

Had my donor card, and I am on the register, for over 40 years and family know my wishes. I do not agree that they could (they wonโt) over rule my wishes upon my death. The law must change, so that if you are on the register, Drs must respect your decision and not relatives.

A very late returner, heard a talk in Social Science (why we should carry card) given by a lovely lass who at time was on weekly dialysis
Have carried a card ever since...
she then received a kidney from brother
Anti rejection meds played havoc
Lost her but will never forget her

Please discuss and donate. You don't need your organs after you die.
My late Mum always regretted no one asking her for my late brother's organs. So the effects of not being able to donate lasted until she went to her grave, and in part why I wrote this -
