A short Christmas wish list: 1) people aren’t sent to jail or prison for drug use 2) OTC naloxone 3) overdose prevention sites - legal, funded, ready to use 4) reparations to communities of color ravaged by war on drugs policies. What else am I missing? Too much to ask?

Programs to provide clean drugs to people that need them- not replacement therapy like Suboxone or methadone, because people who use opiates want real opiates and they’ll use street drugs if they have to

Prescribing OAT to people incarcerated. Prescribing OAT as standard at all doctors offices and hospitals...basically anywhere a doctor/pharmasict/LPN works they are able to start someone on OAT. Annnnnnd removal of "witnessed dose" requirement for OAT carries.... and pee tests..

Add rational chronic pain treatment, Stop ""Forcibly"" tapering pain patients by using unscientific MME ceilings, And stop forcing pain patients onto Buprenorphine. The majority do NOT abuse their medications, I support rational addiction treatment. But were
