A short Christmas wish list: 1) people aren’t sent to jail or prison for drug use 2) OTC naloxone 3) overdose prevention sites - legal, funded, ready to use 4) reparations to communities of color ravaged by war on drugs policies. What else am I missing? Too much to ask?

@kimberlylsue @JonGiftosMD Programs to provide clean drugs to people that need them- not replacement therapy like Suboxone or methadone, because people who use opiates want real opiates and they’ll use street drugs if they have to

@kimberlylsue Prescribing OAT to people incarcerated. Prescribing OAT as standard at all doctors offices and hospitals...basically anywhere a doctor/pharmasict/LPN works they are able to start someone on OAT. Annnnnnd removal of "witnessed dose" requirement for OAT carries.... and pee tests..

@kimberlylsue Add rational chronic pain treatment, Stop ""Forcibly"" tapering pain patients by using unscientific MME ceilings, And stop forcing pain patients onto Buprenorphine. The majority do NOT abuse their medications, I support rational addiction treatment. But were #PatientsNotAddicts
