Today #ADA is 30. I learned a lot watching my father advocate for rights and empowerment of people with disabilities here in Texas and in DC. I continue this advocacy today. #TUEDUD1331 #IntentionalInclusion and #ADA are #AsImportantAsEver #TigerPride @HarkinAtDrake

Roughly 14% of San Antonians experience some type of disability. Today marks the 30th anniversary of the ADA, so let's celebrate enhanced accessibility and inclusion for ALL of our neighbors. #ThanksToTheADA Learn more: https://t.co/gw11DoBwrD

If you have a disability, you’ll want to review route planning, lodging options, food requirements and finding the right rental vehicle.

The thing about Lamar being on this list, that I continue to think about, is how SAISD supported/pushed the increased funding at Lamar to support our advocacy & plan for growth and academic successes and are now using that to close us.

Change is stressful. If you are trying to initiate change at your organization, prioritize clear communication. Convey the intent behind it and how it will benefit others. Encourage transparency and promote honest conversations, allowing team members to express their concerns

Promoting ineffective methods and materials as "pro-teacher" is the height of patronizing. Educators want kids to read and read well. #StopTheCap
