Credit where it’s due, these sanctions are most welcome and sorely needed. Sanctioning Russian oil just as Ukraine is pounding its production is good policy to help end the war. Better policy is to keep escalating sanctions to make sure Moscow stays under pressure to make peace.
Now is the time to stop the killing and for an immediate ceasefire. Given President Putin’s refusal to end this senseless war, Treasury is sanctioning Russia’s two largest oil companies that fund the Kremlin’s war machine. Treasury is prepared to take further action if necessary

You can tell both side are keen on peace. Ukraine hit a military facility in Bryansk that manufactures "gunpowder, explosives and rocket fuel components used in ammunition and missiles." Russia just hit a child's daycare in Kharkiv.
Storm Shadow missiles broke through Russian air defenses and hit the Bryansk chemical plant — officially confirmed. The facility produced explosives, gunpowder, and missile fuel for strikes on Ukraine. The only diplomacy Russia understands.

Tomahawks should be on the table. Ukraine needs long range options to threaten Russian production facilities and inhibit their ability to carry out this war of aggression.

Russia’s answer to Trump calling off Russia sanctions and new military support for Ukraine last week was to bomb a kindergarten in Kharkiv. Giving Putin a free pass to continue this campaign of terrorism takes us farther from peace. There is no excuse for inaction.
