You can increase the success of your digital transformation program when you blend tech with business, where practical. Eg developers in a newsroom, observing how journalists do their work. Devs then develop empathy and business context, and their tech work evolves. #sd23

Govts have historically been risk averse when it comes to technology and innovation. But this is now changing due to the far reaching benefits of disruptive tech. What matters is clear strategy, safe space to experiment, and culture of continuous learning. Tech enables it. #sd23

Psychological safety is important when planning and delivering digital transformation programs. Staff must be part of the process and feel comfortable speaking their minds with the delivery team, else the change won't stick and you'll accumulate technical debt. #sd23

Where does the data behind Chat GPT come from? Is it trustworthy? Where does my data go when I use it? Who owns it? It's become ubiquitous in usage but questions remain. Like the industrial revolution took 50 years, AI will take years to evolve. (paraphrasing @mc_tweets) #sd23

Tech is not the answer. The problem is change resistance and that requires understanding how humans behave, what motivates them, and what will benefit them. Establish trust and use tech to enable it. (paraphrasing @lucio_piccoli of @SiteSeeHQ, discussing digital twins) #sd23
