The A57 is *STILL CLOSED*. Motorists are ignoring the big flashing red "road closed" signs, and getting stuck in the snow. Police have not got the resources to keep coming and bailing motorists out who are ignoring these signs. The road is closed for a reason.

**Traffic update** The A57 is CLOSED until further notice due to adverse weather conditions (severe snow and fog). Please find alternative routes, several vehicles have been abandoned and it's very dangerous. #TrafficUpdate #RoadClosure #Police #WinterIsHere
