'You don't look like you've got dementia!' People living with a diagnosis regularly tell us they experience similar, thoughtless comments. These are a form of stigma. This #WorldAlzheimersMonth, we want to educate those who think dementia is a joke.

Stigma about dementia still exists in all communities up and down the UK, but people within BAME communities often face particular challenges. Dementia is not a normal part of ageing; it’s caused by physical diseases. It's not something to be ashamed of. Let's get talking.
