I’m just going to say it. I do not believe 343 Industries views story as a priority for Infinite. I’m also questioning that priority for the franchise as a whole.

@DecepticonCobra Because of the unique story and aliens, I was pulled into Halo and stayed for the gameplay and PvE. I wish my favorite parts of the games weren't being slowly taken out.

@DecepticonCobra Those narrative events were already pathetically tiny and almost non-existent compared to how they were hyping up the mp story. But it was the only thing that was still keeping me even slightly interested in this game. Not even mad or disappointed anymore. I was a long time ago.

@DecepticonCobra I’ll keep saying it, Halo is going through an identity crisis. The core of players still active are not the BR/live service crowd that they tried to appeal to. Instead of focusing on features the community was actually asking for, 343 keeps shooting themselves in the foot

@DecepticonCobra I wish more and more they had just wrapped up the story so far with a true Halo 6 instead of the future of Halo’s storytelling once again up in the air with no closure. I liked Infinite’s story at first, but the lack of a future makes me wish they did it differently.

@DecepticonCobra They could very well be losing sight of what made the franchise what it is in the first place The story in Halo is everything, Multiplayer is just a bonus, its great, but the reason people love Halo is for the Story

@DecepticonCobra In all honesty, the mp narrative, as nice as the cutscenes were, never really worked imo. So I'm glad they're moving away from that for MP & focus on gameplay & features. Storywise I rather they focus on a full campaign for a sequel than small bits for MP without substance
