Good, animation needs to take risk. Be a platform to express ones culture. Reducing it to a product that has to fit a criteria is why modern western animation is failing.
Veteran Animators said they want to "Keep Anime Japanese" and don't want to play it safe like Disney has done for all these years. They mention Anime became popular lately, because of how unique it is from Disney.
