With the 7th trumpet blast, heaven erupts in praise because the world’s rebellion suddenly meets the overwhelming force of Christ’s glorious triumph, bringing it to an abrupt end and finally establishing Christ's throne. "And he shall reign for ever and ever." Hallelujah!

How does a church build for future generations? (part 1) 1) Make it your 1st priority to see your own children converted. 2) Pour yourself into their discipleship. 3) Encourage them to come back unless God calls them elsewhere. 4) Raise your kids into faithfulness.

Spurgeon's Metropolitan Tabernacle is a vibrant, thriving church. Founded in 1650, with a long line of famous pastors, nearly 400 people gathered on a Wed night. Sundays, the 1,000-seat auditorium is packed. They are a model for building a church that will last for generations.

Premills build churches for the short term, expecting that there'll be no future generation anyway. They focus on winning as many souls as possible b/4 Christ returns. Postmils focus on building for future generations. I'd love to see that Postmil focus merge with Premil zeal.

My dad. My grandfather. A couple of the pastors God brought into my life, who invested much in me. My wife. My kids. And a few good friends who stuck with me. "Not many wise men after the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble..."

The most shocking revival in history will come (Rev 11) after a long history of rejection and rebellion, when the beast from the abyss destroys God’s two witnesses, and a remnant is so startled that they can no longer resist God's glorious grace. Be tenacious in your witness!

Accountability apps are good, but not foolproof. An alcoholic knows how to get booze, and a porn addict knows how to get his fix. He must avoid the places where he'll be tempted (home, office, or the web). But his problem is that he is not satisfied in Christ. Fix that first.

I lost 2 hours of my life last night watching the Jim Carrey version of The Grinch. Who knew that the Grinch was bullied by the popular kids, a misunderstood romantic. And how did the Grinch wind up the victim?

Lots of great answers to this thumb-sucker question. The question is only a dilemma in the LDS paradigm. The more I see of these questions, the more it demonstrates that Jacob and other LDS apologists have rejected God outright.

If God always existed then did the realm he existed in always exist? Would that imply that God is not the only eternal thing? Unless he is the realm itself which case… pantheism?

Porn-addicted men struggle to seek help. Guilt, self-loathing, and fear cripple them. And they're afraid to give it up. Lust becomes their "precious." When a man does seek help, be merciful. Don't judge harshly. Be firm, loving, helpful. But don't give him a pass or minimize it.

Here's why I have so much respect for Doug Wilson. Sam Harris echoed Christopher Hitchens, "I know what I'm dealing with." Both men appreciated that Wilson doesn't apologize, spiritualize, or obfuscate what the Bible says. He owns it and believes it. https://t.co/XAPyR4NVOb

If you think you deserve the good things that happen to you and don't deserve the bad, you don't know how to be thankful. If you understand your sin rightly, you know that you deserve bad things, but God has given you undeserved blessings anyway.

Dad, anticipate that your sons will struggle with lust, impure thoughts, and self-pleasuring. If they have access to a phone, even a dead one in a drawer (wifi always works), assume they do/will seek porn. Proactively arm them. Coach them to battle it and overcome.

It's very common to hear LDS deny the Trinity because it "isn't logical." What they mean by that (because they frequently say things but mean something else than what those words typically mean in common parlance) is either: 1. It violates the laws of logic 2. It doesn't fit

Porn cripples your resistance, enslaves your will, and degrades your brain. You're de-sensitized to the pleasure and hyper-sensitized to the lust. And your cravings spiral into the abyss: homo-erotic (almost immediately) to bestiality or pedophilia. You must have help!
