It was held as a belief for christians and their theological ancestors that the sould only get into a human when they took their first breath, even just a few decades ago, evangelist were pro-abortion. It switched when the leaders needed an emotional outrage to manipulate you.

You're conflating when life begins with an outright belief in a soul. There is no scientific study that shows the latter, but there is plenty to show we evolved from simple beginnings. Do you think every ancestor ever, had a soul?
