Did you know that Mali was a philanthropy state? That means that their economy functioned on their wealthy subsidizing the life’s of the working class. Like they gave away so much money there was no need for taxation.

The equivalent would be if Bill Gates just funded all things related to education. Universal Pre-K, school lunches, high school arts, teacher pay, high school sports, and fully funded all colleges of any level. That’s how Mali’s economy worked.
