For an Australian, without a prominent European playing career behind him, to get all the way to the top of a big EPL club is an unfathomable achievement.
But he’s always had that about him.

He’s not going to a big EPL club. He’s going to a club who haven’t won anything. That’s the problem down there. You ALL think that every team in the EPL are big clubs. They’re NOT. Spurs especially.
@DanielGarb
I would prefer Ange to stay at Celtic 1-2 more years . Win the league again and try and take Celtic to the knockout stages of the CL. I just feel Spurs is the wrong club for Ange. He won’t get the backing or time he needs to take Spurs where he would like. Good luck Ange
@DanielGarb
How much of an influence do you think Scott Munn had on this? Feel like his appointment as Spurs' chief football officer went under the radar a bit in Australia, but quite monumental as well
@DanielGarb
Proud moment for all Australians.
btw Garby no doubt it will very tough when Liverpool play Spurs next season. Loyalty will be divided for the majority Aussie supporters of other Prem teams ?
@DanielGarb
If it goes through, Daniel, the pre-season games in Perth will be huge. As you've mentioned, it's a massive achievement without a major playing career.
@DanielGarb
Would be absolutely gutted if Ange left a Celtic for Spurs. He would be leaving a
#ChampionsLeague
club for starters, a trophy winning club, a bigger club and a club with better supporters! Could be a poor move if it doesn’t work out.
@DanielGarb
What I like is that he seems to use his positions to give opportunities to Australian coaches and players, to the extent he can. We need people like this in Europe giving legs up to others, to build the next generation.
@DanielGarb
It would be very hard to turn down a top 6 premier league club. Anyone saying he’s currently at a bigger club is probably right but there playing in a 2 team league. The chance to test his football week in week out against the best in the world would be very hard to turn down.
