Hiroshi Ando, stable manager for Forever Young, said Sunday that jockey Ryusei Sakai didn't claim foul because "both horses were fighting together. ... We wanted to win, we couldn't make history. We're really proud of of our horse." Forever Young & T O Password head home Tuesday

The Japanese are so much more stoic and reasonable. All day my feed has been full of people whining about this non call. Anyone involved in athletics can see they were both fighting the whole way SL gained no advantage. FY didn't lose a step. It was a gritty battle. That's sport
@DRFGrening
Many consider the claim to be appropriate, others think that both meet several times, in the fight for victory. A lot of class from the Japanese team!!
@DRFGrening
His horse would have been moved up for sure had he claimed foul. But he's an upstanding guy and he deserves a lot of respect. Hopefully they come back and kick butt in the Classic. 😄🏇
@DRFGrening
Very dignified & expected response. Being that it is known that is how the Japanese conduct themselves you have to wonder if that made Tyler be very comfortable acting the way he did….
@DRFGrening
Forever Young and Sakai left a lasting impression on the race. Japanese dirt horses are now contenders on the world stage, hope these horses return.
